Well, I quit burning candles in my house. This made my husband (who will be referred to on this blog as GOAT but, we'll get to that in another post.)very happy. See, sometimes I would leave the house and "forget" to blow out the candles. We'd come home and GOAT would be mad and I would pretend that it was an accident. When really, I just didn't want to blow out the candles and come home to a house that smelled like smelly boys and pets again. With my new Scentsy warmers I don't have to worry about that anymore. Whew!
Anyway, back to the point. This is my last candle jar:
Eek! It's full and ready to be thrown away. What am I supposed to do now? I won't go out and buy a new candle just for the jar. I have warmers in need of emptying and my home is starting to get back to the Boy/Dog flavor. What to do, what to do?

Congrats to TKK! And yes, I agree, I'll be saving and disposing of my wax in TABBs trash! HAHAHAHA!!
Thanks to everyone who participated!
Oh no! I never had a special way to throw out my wax I like your idea! I just pull the trash can over to the burner and dump it out. Boring, but the truth :)

ReplyDelete1. throw it in the trash
2. throw it in your neighbor's trash
3. throw it in TABB's trash
TKK's other suggestion:
ReplyDeleteGather surplus in Pyrex bowl & leave either in the sun or in a warm oven so the wax is pliable. Let your favorite child sculpt it on a piece of wax paper and make a Christmas ornament. Stick a straw through it before it cools so you have an opening to thread a pipe cleaner or a piece of festive ribbon through so you can hang it on your tree.
Very clever idea of disposing of our old wax!! I'm one of the many who just toss it out as I use it. Grama (aka, Mamma)
